I then looked at the research I had carried out, in order to produce a stereotypical horror film poster. I found that close up shots where very popular, as it shows the characters emotions clearly, therefore enabling the audience to see how afraid the protagonist is.
I then used some of my original ideas and put the masked man behind a tree in the background, not making him too noticeable, but clear enough not to miss him. In order to achieve this I thought I could blur the background.
